Reciprocity is the guiding principle of TSAL and its group companies. It gives back to the people what it takes from them. This has made it possible for the Company to operate in a community, in a friendly manner.
Odisha lives in its villages. Therefore TSAL has paid utmost importance to develop rural infrastructure. Some developmental initiatives by the company include healthcare facilities, education facilities, rural livelihood programmes, construction of roads civic and environmental management programmes and supply of potable drinking water.

Jobs have been created at all levels for the local community. Peripheral road network has been put in place and streamlined. Drinking water facilities have been provided for the community. Development work has been undertaken in local schools and clubs. Medical facilities have been provided to nearby villages through a specialist doctor and free health camps.

Response to an Emergency    

During the floods of 2008, the company promptly responded to the needs of the surrounding villagers, by providing timely relief. Food packets, candles and polythene were distributed among 10, 000 villagers of Dhurusia Panchayat and free medical check up camp and free medicines organized for the villagers.
Foodstuff and other necessary commodities was also distributed among 925 affected villagers of Kakhadi Panchayat.

Peripherial Development measures    

Roads were repaired worth Rs.200 lakhs in front of the plant and also Berhampur hospital and Nuasasan. Extensive free repairs were also undertaken of Kotha Ghara.
Financial assistance was provided to villagers near the plant, for fitting lights, building and repairing of class rooms and many such items.

An ambulance was donated to Berhampur, for the benefit of the nearby villagers. With visits by a regular doctor to villages around the periphery of the plant besides an annual donation to the Red Cross Society.
A medical check up camp was also organized at Dhurusia Panchayat office, with free  distribution of medicines and free blood testing.

Rechristened as T S Alloys Ltd., the industry has become efficiently operational in record time. It has grown in leaps and bounds and is running successfully in a short time since inception.
